30 Day Book Challenge – Day 1

Day 1 of the 30 Day Book Challenge

Right, so today i have to choose the book that goes best with the topic below:

Day 01 – Best book you read last year

I’ve having a hard time even remembering which books i bought last year, let alone which ones i read.

This is where Amazon comes in handy 🙂

List of books i bought last year (courtesy of amazon’s past order page):

1. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

2. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

3. Stolen by Lesley Pearse

4. Fire by Kristin Cashore

5. The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney

6. Divergent by Veronica Roth

7. The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

8. The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

9. The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

10. My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent

11. Insurgent by Veronica Roth

As you can see i hardly bought any books in the whole of last year, i entirely blame this on it being my first year at university and being too caught up in my classes and new friends to have any time to really do much else.

Out of these books i would have to say that three of them stand out to me more than the rest: the first is a no-brainer Divergent, second is Fire and third is The Iron King.

However without lying to myself i would say that Divergent was probably the best that i read. However because i have reviewed this recently and mentioned it a couple of times i also wanted to mention that i really enjoyed The Iron King series as well. I love faerie stories, they are probably one of my favourite supernaturals so this series had an obvious appeal. If you haven’t checked it out i’d recommend it 🙂

Thanks for reading,
