Enter the dark magical world of the house of night,
a world much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen year old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the house of night. a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. that is, if she makes it through the Change. and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as a special by the vampyre Goddes Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers comes bloodlust and unfortunate ability to Imprint her human ex-boyfriend. to ass to her stress, she is not the only fledgling at thwe house of night with special powers: when she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the schools most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny– with a little help from her new vampyre friends.
Zoey Redbird is just an average girl, she goes to school, worries about geometry, has boy drama, the whole lot. However one day her seemingly normal life changes when she is marked at school, now no-one will treat her the same and she must go to the house of night. A vampire training school, or she will die. Lots of drama at her new ‘school’ as well as boys, cats and a whole lot of weirdness packs you in for a treat.
Marked is the first book in a long series by P.C. and Kristin Cast, it follows the Journey of Zoey and her friends at the House of Night. I enjoyed the plot to this book, there was lots of things to think about and always stuff happening to keep you entertained. The characters each have great personalities and the whole group works well together as well as the other characters that aren’t featured as much. It’s nice to read a vampire book that’s a bit different from the rest and this is definitely that 🙂
If you do like vampires or supernaturals or even just want a fun read then i would really recommend this book 🙂
