Wow, ok this is my first proper post in a long time. I hope everyone’s been ok and i just want to apologise again for leaving so suddenly. Work at uni just got too intense too quickly and i had so many things in that i couldn’t handle both the blog and the work. So i’m sorry to say i put the work first. But now i’m back (yay) and hopefully ready to bug lots of people about books i like and see their opinions on the matter. Also am very happy to go into the Feature and Follow as this was one of the first meme’s that i started back in August so am very happy for it to be the first again after the hiatus. Also awesome question 🙂

This Week’s Question is:

Recommend some of your favorite back-listed books (5-10 years)

Right so this list definitely has lots of gaps in it. Some books i loved and just can’t remember and others here you will have heard me talk about time and time again. However these are  just a few of books produced a decent amount of time ago that i adored! I’m putting them in order of oldest to newest and have got to say that if you haven’t heard of some of these i would highly recommend checking them out!

Wicked

(1995)

A Kiss of Shadows

(2000)

Eragon

(2002)

uglies-old

(2005)

Maximum Ride

(2005)

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

(2005)

city-of-bones

(2007)

vampire-academy-old

(2007)

graceling

(2008)

The Hunger Games

(2008)

If you want to know more about these books feel free to either ask me or click on the images to be taken to the goodreads page!

    1. I really enjoyed Graceling so am happy for other people to recommend it too! I really enjoyed all of the books on the list and would highly recommend them, seeing as you enjoyed Graceling i’d potentially say give City of Bones a try. They are extremely different but most of the people that i know liked one, have also liked the other! Thanks for following 🙂

    1. I’ve only read the first book of the series, but i’m not really sure why. I have the rest of the series and really enjoyed the first book so i need to get into reading them soon! Thanks for following 🙂

    1. I read that book so long ago and it’s such a big deal now with the west end show and such. But i really really enjoyed the book and am happy that someone else had read and enjoyed it too! Thanks for following 🙂

    1. I don’t think i really realised until i started looking up dates for this list! And same for me, waiting for all the sequential books was not fun. I wanted them sooner 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and following 🙂

    1. Haha yeah, it’s been a while since i’ve read any of them. I can’t even find my copy of Maximum Ride and the rest of the series anymore 😦 sad times. Thanks for following! 🙂

    1. I have yet to start the bloodlines series, i think i’m just worried that it won’t do justice to the VA series or something. But i’ve heard so many good things that i just need to suck it up and start reading i think. Thanks for following!

  1. Fantastic list, Sanna! I love City of Bones, Kiss of Shadows, The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy and Wicked! The others I’ve yet to read but I own them. *ha*

    Enjoy your weekend! 🙂

    1. Glad to hear you enjoyed those books, definitely some of my all time favourites! I hope you enjoy the others when you get around to reading them 🙂 Hope you had/have a nice weekend too! 🙂

    1. I would definitely recommend the Merry Gentry series over the Anita Blake if you think of starting reading her. Merry has a strong plot throughout and i really enjoying reading the books whereas the Anita Blake series descended into basically sex with no real plot. I got to about book 13 and then stopped whereas i’m still hanging on for the next Merry book which will hopefully be published sometime this summer! Thanks for following! 🙂

  2. It’s so crazy to think that some of my favorite series (you’ve listed most!) are this old. Whenever I realized that City of Bones was that old whenever I was researching for this F&F, I had a moment. Where did the time go?! You have a wonderful list!!

Thanks for stopping by my FF! I follow you on BlogLovin’!

    1. I know exactly what you mean, i read City of Bones when it was first released and the time seems to have just flown by since then! Thanks for stopping back here and following! 🙂

  3. That is a great list! I’ve read some and have a lot on my to read list. I like how your list is comprised on books in various genre. Thanks for stopping by, following you back.

    1. Thanks, i tried to mix it up a bit but i think i just generally like to read multiple genres so i don’t get bored by the same cliches. Thanks for stopping back here and following! 🙂

  4. I’ve seen Eragon show up on several blogs now, so I think I may have to check out this series myself. Didn’t they release a movie for Eragon too?

    New bloglovin’ follower. 🙂

    1. Technically yes, but don’t watch it. If your interested in the series then please read the books and forgot about that awful movie, i mean, they couldn’t even get simple colours right. Sorry for the late reply!

    1. Thanks for following and i thoroughly enjoyed all the series you mentioned. Definitely give Uglies a try, i was slightly disappointed with the later books in the series but really enjoyed the first one and concept as a whole. Sorry for the late reply!
