Waiting on Wednesday (27)

waiting on wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine talking about upcoming book released we are excited for.

My choice this week is:

heir of fire

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

Release Date: 2nd September 2014

From Goodreads:

“Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy.

While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?”

I cannot wait for this book to be released 🙂 I finished Crown of Midnight recently and ever since have not been able to stop thinking about when this one will be able to be read. This series is vastly becoming one of my favourite series ever and i would highly recommend that anyone that has not read these books get on board 🙂 I think waiting for the remaining three books after this will be equally as tough, but they are definitely worth the wait! 🙂

What are your picks for this week?

  1. I am so excited for this one!! I had the worst book hangover after reading Crown of Midnight and from what i’ve heard this ones really intense too 🙂

    1. I know exactly what you mean, when i finished Crown of Midnight i was shellshocked and couldn’t believe the answers to all my questions wasn’t yet available. I’m really looking forward to this one 🙂

    1. 🙂 I cannot wait until release day and my preordered copy better be ready and waiting, if not i’ll be liable to go into Waterstones and buy another copy so i can devour it. Hopefully we’ll both enjoy it, though i’m pretty sure we will!

  2. OMG YES!!!! Love, love, love to the ump-tenth power!! I’ve been obsessed with this series since the first book came out in 2012! I have to say, I got an ARC of this (via NetGalley) and will be reviewing it in a few days! This is gonna be AMAZING!

    1. Hope you’ve enjoyed it, i’m super jealous right now 🙂 Though am happy that i waited a while before starting Throne of Glass because it meant less time in between books. I do not know how you have survived waiting this long 🙂

    1. Definitely start the Throne of Glass series then 🙂 (unless you don’t like fantasy) I really hope you enjoy the series if you get around to starting it 🙂

    1. If you haven’t checked them out yet then i would really, really, really recommend doing so. They are fastly becoming one of my favourite ever series and then you can join in for the long ride for the remaining 3 books 🙂
