Top Ten Tuesday is a Weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where each week a topic is given and we have to reply with ten answers.
This Week’s Question: What are the Top Ten Books you are looking forward to in 2015?
Choosing only ten was definitely the hardest part of this question, also i have probably left out many great books and apologise, however have used the information that i currently can remember. If there are any books that are missing off this list and you believe should be on here, please let me know 🙂 Also the books on this list are in no particular order, i’m as excited for all of them! The books below that do not yet have covers are linked to goodreads through the book title, the others are linked, as normal, through the book cover 🙂
10. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I’m not quite sure what it is about this book that’s making me so excited for its release. I think the whole execute all the new brides after a night is very intriguing and i really want to find out why Shahrzad volunteers, i mean yes, it says that its so she can exact revenge. However is that her only reason? And what are her plans to stay alive?
9. The Cage by Megan Shepard
Aliens exhibiting humans in a zoo on their planet? Hell yeah i want to read this 🙂 It will be interesting to see how the teenagers interact and what they will do once they realise what has happened. Also how their jailers react to them and just how different these other beings are.
8. The Heir by Kiera Cass
I loved the Selection, however i was less keen on both The Elite and The One. Nonetheless i am very excited to see the new instalment and am really hoping that it picks up the series again. Also i’m hoping seeing as its another “Selection” that it will have all the feeling of the first book.
7. The Forgotten Crown by Julie Kagawa
If you haven’t read the rest of this series or The Iron Fey series then i would highly recommend doing so pronto. I can’t really say too much about this book without spoiling the others but am super excited 🙂
6. The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons
I’m interested to see how Kristen takes this novel, it has so much potential and i’m really hoping for something spectacular. I haven’t really read many books with women being hunted and it will be interesting to see how these women interact with each other and how the rest of society functions.
5. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Not going to lie, i knew i wanted to read this book before i knew what it was about just because of Sarah. Then i found out there were faeries and there was no way i was going to be able to stay away. I’m definitely counting down the days till i can read this!
4. End of Days by Susan Ee
I’ve really enjoyed the rest of this series so far and want to find out what happens in the final chapter of the story!
3. Shadow Study by Maria V. Snyder
One of my all time favourite series is getting more sequels, there is no way i could not be excited for this! If you haven’t read any of the Poison Study books previously i’d recommend doing so as soon as possible.
2. Hidden Huntress by Danielle L. Jensen
Stolen Songbird is definitely one of my favourite books of the year and i cannot wait to find out more about what will happen to Cecile and Trollus as a whole. I was really worried this book was not going to be released for a long time due to the closure of Strange Chemistry, however now Angry Robot have picked it up i’m happy its back on it’s way to being released 🙂
1. Ensnared by A. G. Howard
Splintered has to be one of my favourite books ever (and started my hunger for Alice in Wonderland Retellings), i really want to know what happens in this final chapter and who Alyssa will choose *cough*Morpheus*cough*. How mad will she have to go to defeat Queen Red and will she be able to come back?
What are your top ten this week?
Thanks for reading,
