top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a Weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, where each week a topic is given and we have to reply with ten answers.

This Week’s Question: Top Ten All Time Favourite Books from the Past 3 Years

This is a tough one, just remembering which books i’ve read and which have stuck with me the longest, apologies because i’ll most likely miss out some awesome books, let me know your favourites in the comments! This list is in no particular order, just as i remembered them.

10. Waterfire Saga Series by Jennifer Donnelly

Deep Blue Rogue Wave

I loved this series, i have not read enough about mermaids and i love the adventure that Serafina and her “friends” are currently on and cannot wait for the 3rd book Dark Tide to be released later this year!

9. Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

throne of glass Crown of Midnight heir of fire

This very quickly became one of my new favourite series and i hate the giant wait between the books, however i am so happy that this is being a 6 book series so we can really explore the world and so much is still left to happen!

8. Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs

I really like this series and have been reading it for years, i’m not including all the book covers above as it would take up so much room.  I mean we are now waiting for book 9’s release! If you haven’t checked it out yet i’d highly recommend it!

7. Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen

Stolen Songbird

This is amazing, i cannot wait for Hidden Huntress’ release and am so happy that Angry Robot decided to continue with this series after Strange Chemistry shut down.

6. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

The 5th Wave

It’s great, it’s different. Defintiely worth a read! I still need to read The Infinite Sea and i’m really looking forward to following on the story!

5. Splintered Series by A.G. Howard

splintered unhinged

For one, these covers are so beautiful! I love fairy tale retellings and this series has also hightailed it be one of my top 5 favourite series of all time. I accidentally pre-ordered Ensnared to my family home rather than uni so have to wait until the beginning of April to read it :(. I really don’t want it to end and i’m hoping for such good things in the last instalment.

4. Angelfall Series by Susan Ee

angelfall world after

Another great series i have read in the last 3 years. If you haven’t read it yet, please go and do it now so you can be ready for the final books release in May.

3. Wither by Lauren DeStefano

wither

This book was amazing, however i was not as keen with the other books in the series. However definitely give Wither a go if you haven’t already!

2. The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa

the-lost-prince iron traitor

I really enjoyed the first 4 books of the Iron Fey series and loved how Meghan’s story was wrapped up. However i read the series a long time ago, since Julie Kagawa has released a spin off series featuring Ethan, Meghan’s younger brother and the adventures

1. Death of the Mad Hatter by Sarah J. Pepper

death of the mad hatter

Another great Alice in Wonderland retelling, what more do you really need? This really captured the craziness of Wonderland and is definitely worth a read for people who love the original Alice story and Alice in Wonderland Retellings in general.

    1. I’m not gonna lie, the main reason i first requested Deep Blue on net galley last year was for the cover. However i really enjoyed the story and hope that showcasing them does bring them to the attention of others. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    1. Thanks, i have a slight problem with automatically judging a book by its cover. However all of these covers definitely match whats going on inside! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    1. That’s fair enough, i really enjoyed Unhinged but i can see that it may not be for everyone. Same with the 5th wave, hope you find some more books you enjoy 🙂

    1. I loved Throne of Glass, if you have it then i’d definitely say put it to the top of your TBR pile! I’m glad you enjoyed the 5th Wave too, have you read The Infinite Sea yet? Thanks for stopping by 🙂
